My Actifit Report Card: December 1 2024.......... Sunday Funday ๐ฃ๐จ๐๐๐๐ฏ๐๐ ๐ผ๐๐ด๐คโโ ๐ผ๐ถ๐โจ๐
Hello everyone ๐ป,
Happy Sunday ๐ and a very warm welcome to my report. Hopefully your weekend is gone well as we jump into a new week and brand new month of December. I hope we are all grateful and counting our blessings๐ฏ.
Let's quickly proceed to breakdown how the day has been including the trending stories. You definitely know the drill, come on ๐จ.
So I began my day with a little bit of stretching then I was out for a walk, actually getting groceries, short but nice walk
It was quite chilly and cloudy โ๏ธ as I made my way. .
Later I was back indoors handling the usual house chores. Then settled down to some you tube videos and trending stories. A little bit of EPL games here and there, Liverpool are on fire, they gave it to Man city really good๐น.
My final walk was the slow paced sunset ๐ walk around the neighborhood ending up at the park ๐ฒ. It was actually late afternoon spilling into evening
So now let's turn our attention to the trending stories.
As usual another horrendous bloody day in Gaza as Israeli airstrikes killed at least 47 Palestinians around the strip this Sunday๐ฟ.
Meanwhile, due to heavy bombardment, UNRWA has paused aid delivery through a key Gaza crossing adding to the misery of displaced Palestinians๐ฟ.
Kuwait trending as leaders of gulf countries met in Kuwait city for the GCC summit. They have called for a ceasefire in Gaza asap.
Not far off, fighting between rebels and govt forces is picking steam in Syria. The rebels are pushing towards city of Hama as govt forces launch counterattacks๐.
Russia is involved and is carrying out airstrikes as it sides with govt forces to stop the rebels from capturing more territory.
Georgia still trending as pro EU protesters engaged police in a fourth night of protests๐.
This after Russian leaning govt put EU accession talks on hold until 2028; after clinging on to power from what many say was a sham election.
The prime minister has dismissed calls for a new election.
Speaking of elections, Iceland trending as social democrats won in the country's snap elections leaving incumbents punished๐น.
Also trending, today is World Aids day, celebrated every Dec 1, dedicated to raising awareness of the Aids pandemic caused by spread of HIV and mourning those who have died of the disease.
In South Korea, the plastic pollution summit has ended with no accord reached on how to deal with pollution brought about by plastics.
Meanwhile in Kenya, mealworms are being studied with an aim of improving plastic pollution.
Mealworms can eat various plastic including styrofoam and other forms of polystyrene, even plastic that contains toxic additives๐น.
Finally in crazy weather, storm Bora has battered Greece causing widespread flooding and damage.
Lets hope things can go back to normal asap. All's well that ends well ๐ฏ.
So that's it from me today, see you again tomorrow on an awesome Monday. Until then stay safe, take care and cheerioโค๏ธ. Hakuna Matata ๐ป๐ฏ
