Hello everyone ๐ป,
Happy Monday๐, happy new month and a very warm welcome my world. It's been another ordinary day stepping it out and keeping up with life ๐น.
You definitely know the drill, let's quickly take a peek at how my day went and also the trending news that caught my eye ๐.
Here we go again, come on๐จ,
So just like yesterday, I began my day with a brisk walk around the neighborhood. A cool cloudy โ๏ธ morning but with wonderful fresh air ๐.
After about 30 minutes, I was back indoors handling the usual house chores.
Later in the day, I followed up on the trending stories and also checked out Twitter and you tube.
The usual slow paced sunset ๐ walk was how my day ended. The sun was on and off during the day but it was totally cloudy in the evening.
I finally made it back home, safe and sound calling it a day.
Let's now turn our attention to the news from around the world.
In the UK, parties hammered home key messages as polling day nears. Rishi Sunak is looking to keep Tories in power while Keir Starmer is looking to bring labour party back to power. Thursday is the date๐น.
In Gaza, the fighting is going on. Israeli army has asked people to evacuate from Khan Younis as heavy fighting between them and Hamas fighters accelerates๐.
Palestinians living in the area say they have no where to go given the live firing and bombing๐ฟ.
Across the pond in the US, the supreme court has ruled that presidents are immune from criminal prosecution for official acts they perform while in office ๐.
A win for Trump especially in the Jan 6th capitol riots case.
Legal minds warning of the dangerous precedent that simply means that a president will be above the law as long as he claims he was acting in official capacity๐น.
Time will tell the crazy things yet to unfold under this ruling๐น.
Let's finish off with the ongoing Euro football. France beat Belgium in a hard fought one nil game.
In the other game, a stubborn Slovenian team played Portugal to a goal less draw before being defeated in penalties.
France will now face Portugal in their next match. That should be a good game, am looking forward to it๐น.
