My Actifit Report Card: June 21 2024...High Five Friday๐ฃ ๐จ๐๐๐๐ฏ๐๐๐ผ๐๐ด๐คโโ ๐ผ๐ถ๐โจ๐
Hello everyone๐ป,
TGIF๐๐ฅ๐ท,and a warm welcome to my report. The weekend is definitely upon us. So glad you stopped by and as usual lets take a look at how my day went plus share some of the trending stories that caught my eye. Here we go again
It's been a lovely day, pretty warm with lots of sunshine ๐ throughout the day. A little bit of clouds here and there too.
I had a short morning walk of around thirty minutes around the neighborhood. It was bright and sunny with a wonderful cool breeze as I made my way.
Later I was back indoors handling the usual house chores. Then I got into the trending news and watched some YouTube videos.
The Euro 2024 games were playing in the afternoon, more on that later down here.
Before evening, I had a short bus trip to the Brixton area, I don't know if it's a town or city. Quite a busy area with a metro ๐ station.
I got my errands done then headed back home. Today's pictures are from the top of the bus, am so getting used to taking pictures from up there๐น.
The last walk was around the park this evening, then bought a little bit of take out as I wasn't in the mood for cooking.
Now let's take a look at what has been trending around the world.
In the UK,the reform UK leader, Nigel Farage trending as he says the west caused Russia to invade Ukraine by of EU and NATO๐.
Also trending, UK's richest family has been convicted of exploiting servants. They allegedly brought them from India, confiscated their passports, underpaid them and asked them not to leave the house in an upmarket area of Geneva in Switzerland๐.
They were acquitted on the more serious charge of human trafficking. Their lawyers are appealing that decision though.
Still in Europe, power outage hit several countries in the Balkans where temps have reached over 40 degrees Celsius๐. The malfunction in Montenegro has however been resolved.
Speaking of high temps, most of the US is going through a heatwave with temps well above the usual ๐.
Still in the US, UN secretary general, Antonio Guterez has voiced profound concern about escalating tension between Hezbollah and Israel. Clearly stating we do not want another Gaza in Lebanon. Let's hope diplomacy will solve the existing tensions.
Speaking of Gaza, 55 Palestinians killed across the strip as Israeli airstrikes hit densely populated areas. Even the safe designated area of Al mawasi wasn't spared.
The injured are flooding hospitals that have little or no medicines and treatment supplies๐ฟ.
It's just a mess getting worse ๐ญ.
Finally, the Euro 2024 were on, with Ukraine winning against Slovenia๐.
France drew nil nil with the Netherlands, Mpabbe sat in the benches watching after suffering a broken nose in their prior game.
Then Austria got the better of Poland with a 3 to one win.
More exciting games are on the way as we find out who makes the last sixteen.
