The death of iTunes ; What Apple’s iTunes Shutdown Means for Music Fans

in #actifit5 years ago (edited)

Apple has confirmed the end of iTunes as we knew until the multimedia platform. It will be replaced by several independent applications: Music, Podcasts and TV.
It's now official: Apple has signed without humor the death sentence of iTunes, the famous platform once essential, June 3, 2019 Craig Federighi ironized on stage: either had to put all the applications in iTunes, or it was necessary divide iTunes.
iTunes, which was pre-installed on all Macs since 2006, has updated the macOS 10.15 Catalina.

Too heavy, too busy, little or not consistent with consumer usage, iTunes has been gradually set aside by users but also by Apple, which is deprived of any suspension for years. While the individual applications were blossoming (Apple Music is flawlessly fluid), iTunes has become stuck, become a platform heavy enough to load, and very crowded. A Swiss army knife that seems to be able to do everything, but that would really do nothing.
