High school students walk out in support of second amendment.
Well here's the test my progressive friends: can you chime in and tell me how great you think it is that students are being active and engaged in civic life? Where is all the praise for their participation in the national dialogue? Were they excused from class for this act of engaged citizenship?
And as for you, my conservative friends, aren't these the same infantile, incompetent young people who you think don't have anything of relevance to say on issues of national importance? Where are your calls for them to get back in the classroom and learn something?
And national media... where the hell are YOU? Activist kids are cool, right? Where's the coverage beyond USA Today?
they are supposed to school, not rallying on the street.
parents are not wasting their money to become there sons and daughters to be an activist.
they are so young, lots to learn in the society ,
Upvoted all your new post.
as my support.
It is so good to see the students becoming active again. I was in college in the 60's when students took an active part in social events. That continued into the '70s but then seemed to die out.
Socialogists talk about different generations and how each generation exhibits different qualities and tendencies. And that they cycle thru until they once again start repeating.
I hope the students continue with their intelligent, peaceful activism. I think they provide more wisdom and courage than our present political leaders....on both sides of the aisle.
Hmm... This is a rallying cry for awareness among youths and for the public to recognize their relevance in national matters.
We need more discussion and dialog, it is good for students to come out and be active on social issues. On the other hand, the media is SOOOO one-sided. You know their agenda behind.

Looks like a fairly short protest that lasted only 20 minutes and had about 75 students. Fox News and Florida Today covered the protest as well.
You seem really anti-gun control @honeybee. I don't own a gun and probably never will but I understand why you feel it is important to have the freedom to have the choice and be able to defend yourself.
Arguments against gun control have been pretty flimsy as well. Criminals will just use illegal guns or alternative weapons to kill. Taking away a soccer mom's assault rifle will not solve or even reduce the current gun violence problems.
