Was the internet suppose to be, so addictive?
Internet is simply a tool that connects computers from around the world. When the internet first came out it was simply texts and pictures. I remember using those big giant monitors.

It wasn't very fast because you had dial up. You could either use your home phone or use the dial up connection to connect to the internet. I remember my uncle who worked in IT talking about how we would have videos on the internet very soon.

I was always fascinated by computers. I would spend countless hours in a small room. My eyes glued to computer monitor screen.

Back in the day internet wasn't, so prevalent in everyone's life. Sure it was popular and becoming more and more, but it was still at the baby stages. Fast forward internet got more powerful. Videos started coming onto the net. This was a dangerous rabbit hole to go down for young boy like me.

I was glued to YouTube. YouTube was a big time sucker. I spent countless hours watching videos. Peoples ideas and opinions would flood into my brain. I started following certain conspiracy channels. It was only very recently did I break out of this YouTube addiction.

I now realize that all the answers I want are not always on social media platforms like YouTube, and Facebook. I realized that these sites want to maximize the time you spend on their platform. They have algorithms to capture human attention. The content you watch is programming you. The people you watch are just greedy for your attention and they want you to see the world through their lens. Also much of the content is very disgusting. It is very hard to find something meaningful.

I will probably just use steemit sparingly, messenger for facebook is nice, but the facebook actual site is terrible. The news feed is dangerous. I never really got hooked on any other social media platform.

Use internet as a tool is all good, but when you rely on it to much for information and entertainment it can become dangerous, since it becomes addictive. Like back in the day you would go on many different site, but now people hang around internet ghettos like Facebook and YouTube or some other porn site. They just get their dopamine hits like crack addicts.

Advertisers saw that people were not watching television anymore, so what they did was switch over to these social media platforms. The mind control is really much still going on.

There seems to be a price for good information and good entertainment. Everything comes with a price tag. You can't pirate content without a vpn, because you don't want to get sued. So I say we start creating our own content. Start creating our own programming.

Human nature is not good or bad. It is programmable. We are the content we take in. We are what we give our time and attention to.
Care for the right things is very important.
