First day I quit smoking marijuana
Today is the first day I quit marihuana after 13 years of smoking it.
Normally it's not that addicitive, but I am addicted. I see nothing bad in smoking cannabis but it's highly expensive where I'm from. I eventually want to smoke less. In order for me to do that I have to stop for a while. I hope to end my addiction and use it only occasionally.
Not only is it expensive I also miss the high I used to get when I was smoking a lot less.
There's nothing wrong with marijuana and it has a lot of benefits. It's a miracle plant. But instead of using it I was misusing it. I'm aware the plant is being used for thousands of years all over the world. It can be used for solving a lot of major problems that we face today. Like it can be a substitute for plastic, it can be used as a medicine to various deseases including psychological, it can clean the air more beneficial then other plants, and the list goes on.
I feel a strong spiritual connection to marijuana and I think I know why it's a schedule I drug in a lot of countries. One of the main reasons I can think of is that when everybody around the world would smoke, they would question more. That would lead to a more transparent and free society.
My plan is to stop smoking for half a year. Or at least until I am no longer depending on it like I have been for a while. They say the first 2 weeks are the hardest. Sweating, weird dreams, crankiness, headaches, and having trouble sleeping. I can already feel it and the first day isn't even over yet. I'm not only doing it for myself, but also for my beautiful family. So I hope I will succeed.
I'll try to keep you updated.
Thanks for reading and a lot of love for all you steemians!
