10 Differences Between Wise And Average Parents
Children being impressionable adopts whatever they see and hear from them. They accumulate the knowledge around them and use it in their own way. Parents being the adults build up the perception that whatever they do is best for their child and that they have the utmost knowledge about what their child wants. Many of you must have gone through the phase where you are sitting on the couch with your head held in your hands, and wondering where you did wrong in the upbringing of your child! Being a parent is far from being straightforward and being a wise parent is perhaps one of the most difficult things to achieve. Here we have gathered few parenting tips and differences between wise parent and an average parent because sometimes parents skip these little differences which could make an immense impact on their children.
10 SETTING AN EXAMPLE VS BOUNDING THE CHILD
At the growing age children need to explore things themselves, and when you don’t provide them with some time for themselves, they become hesitant towards new things. Try to give your child his some “alone time”. He/she will grow more maturely.
9 SOLVING PROBLEM VS ELIMINATING PROBLEM
Dealing only and only with the problem will make no difference. At some point it will rise again, you need to grab the problem by its roots and erase it forever. You don’t need to throw away the broken toys but to fix them.
8 ACKNOWLEDGEMENT VS HUMILIATION
Humiliation is the last thing a child wants to get from his parents. Make your child progressive towards his goal. Tell him how to be patient towards a problem and at the end, he will definitely find a worthy solution. Telling him that he can’t do anything will make him only a looser, and you don’t want that! Do you?
7 MAKING THEM CONFIDENT VS MAKING A LOOSER
Teaching a child how to be independent will make his life easier for future. You are not doing a favor to your child for finding solutions for him. Let him teach himself and that is how any person would learn, from experiences.
6 APPRECIATION VS DEGRADING
Encouragement makes a child more strong. Note that, encouraging him alone but when you start comparing your child to someone else it creates hatred in his feeble heart and he/she takes it with him/her till he/she grows older and uses that hatred in a very wrong direction. Make your child feel good about himself/herself, he/she will grow into a better human.
5 MAKING RESPONSIBLE VS MAKING CARELESS
Every child is precious to his parents, but keeping your child in a bubble and protecting it with your life is not an intelligent decision because bubbles can burst. Allow him to learn from his/her mistakes. That is far most the best way to learn something in your life. Solving problems for your child will make his/her decision power weak and he/she will always remain dependent on others.
4 MAKING THOUGHTFUL VS TEACHING NEGLIGENCE
Parents often refrain their children from doing something stupid but what they forget is to tell them the reason for it. When they do not have the knowledge of why they shouldn’t do a certain thing they always end up doing the same thing and they suffer badly. That’s why it is important to give your child the knowledge about various consequences than just throwing a big NO in his/her face.
3 NATURAL VS GOOD
Teach your child to be himself/herself by setting an example in your own form. When he/she adopts diverse masks for himself/herself, he/she will end up being a decisive person.
2 FRIENDLY VS IGNORANT
Parents have got the authoritative nature naturally but it depends on them how they behave with their child. When you become a friend of your child, that gives him/her the confidence to trust you and they start sharing everything with you. Parents who are worried what their child is up to now, try adopting this behavior, it might solve your problems.
1 GIVING CHOICE VS RESTRICTING
When you impose a decision on your child he/she always ends up in doing the opposite but when you make him/her understand which way he/she should choose and why it clears his/her way and he/she can make the right decision. Parents often think to reason with a child is impossible but its is not always the case. It might be difficult but the right way of reasoning can teach your child a lot of things about life. Strict parents raise strict children, whereas understanding parents raise responsible children. Choose which one you want to be!
