AI to ease our life? Privacy Concerns?

Last week my elder brother returned from US and got us a gift in form of Google Home Mini. I was always sceptical and worried on use of AI in our personal life.

Keeping a Mini would mean giving Google access to my bedroom conversations. Pushed ads is just one thing which doesn't even bother me much however with recent reports of data being used for political influencing and spending patterns take me attention. Our phones does the same thing and I'm not sure how I can limit myself from not making best of ease it offers.

In other option I'm thinking of using it just as a Bluetooth speaker and not connect it to my wifi which inturn would limit it's capabilities.

Please suggest your experiences with AI and how do you deal with it in personal space.
