BUNGEE JUMPING IN RISHIKESH (INDIA)

Hi guys last month I traveled to Rishikesh .it was a beautiful place full of nature and advanture,I want to share my experience of Bungee jumping there it was awesome ,I think everyone should try this once.Bungy Jumping in Rishikesh

India's highest fixed platform BUNGY JUMPING (Bungee) at Mohanchatti near Rishikesh. A Cantilever platform built over a iron cliff over looking a rocky river HYUL, a tributory of River Ganga. Jump with rubber cords tied to your ankles and feel the adrenaline rush like never before. Bungee has been designed by David Allardice of New Zealand. Jump Masters flown in from New Zealand to operate the Bungee. After the Jump, the Jumpers are lowered down to a drop zone in the river which has only 2 feets of water. Walk up to the cafeteria and enjoy watching your photographs & video of the jump. Don’t forget to collect your Dare to Jump Certificate.

Bungy Jumping
The fixed platform extends to the middle of the valley, the bungee jumping is done from the height of 83 metres which is roughly 273 feets and equivalent to jumping from a building approx. 22 stories high. Jump masters from New Zealand brief you about the activity and tie a rubber cord to your ankle and assist you as you take the leap of faith from the fixed platform to feel the adranaline rush. After the jump, the jumpers are lowered to the ground slowly on to a bed.

Giant Swing
Giant Swing is carried out from the same platform of the Bungee Jump. But instead of attaching a cord to your ankles, a seat harness is provided and two ropes are attached to it. So instead of a free fall after the jump, the ropes attached to the harness start swinging you like a pendulum hence acting like one Giant Swing tied from the height of 83 Mtrs. The activity can also be done by two people at the same time.

Flying Fox
We have fixed a hard wire from one end of the valley to the other. This wire is more than a kilometre long and there is a large apparatus attached to it. You are harnessed to this apparatus which is released to gravity running on the wire from the height of 120 mtrs to achieve the speed of upto 160 kmph. Imagine yourself piercing through the air at such high speed. This is undoubtedly one of the most exciting activities offered by us. The apparatus you are harnessed to is then slowly brought back to the starting point. Flying Fox in Rishikesh is usually done by three persons at a time. However if you desire you can pay extra to do it alone.
