Hawaiian Sailing Canoe/ CULTURE / HAWAIIAN LIFE /
My Family rebuilt this double hull Hawaiian sailing canoe ( Wa'a Kaulua )
we started in 2014 and finally finished last year in December (2016)
This is an image of a " traditional" sail. The sounding of the Conch shell ( Pu )
is the call Polynesians use upon entrance and exit of the shore.
We are taking "Fire knife dancers" to shore to greet, tourists one Hawaii island ( Moku o Keawe )
This reminds me that I could really do with a break from things - a long long one.
It definitely took a long time to rebuild her but, its was worth the three years. what kind of work do you do? @davidnx
