ADVENTURES ON INDIAS STREETS

in #adventure7 years ago

While travelling in India we face many obstacles especially on the streets.

Not only the traffic.

Cows, chickens, unexpected hohles, masses of people are all on their way.

When we travel by bus or tuk tuk the only thing we can do is to have a bit trust in the driver but when we travel on our own we have to sharpen our senses.

So now we bring a bit light in the mist common travelling methods in India:

No. 1
Bus:
Shaky, shaky.
The most time very crowded and difficult to figure stops out cause all the drivers claim to stop at your destination.

Later on when you are approximately 3 km more fare away you figure it out if you are lucky enough to have maps.me or mobile data :D

No.2
Tuk Tuk
Chilling!
Just trust the driver and hope he won't take you on an unwanted half an hour trip more, for which you have to pay for.
Choose the e- tuk tuk alternative to go green ;)

No. 3
Walking
Oldie but goldie
While the biggest challenge in most of the european countries is to wait for the traffic light to turn green, India's streets will be a obstacle parcour for you.
Avoid shit, plastic litter and food rests to stay save.
Scooters may hit you time by time gently but never roll over you, at least most of the time...
BUSSES!
Danger for all pedestrians!!
Watch out if you wanna stay alive!
You may be slow but you will walk for sure easily through any traffic jam ! ;D

Tadaaa!!!
After waiting a long time herewith I present you the most dangerous transportation method in INDIA ( at least for us :D )

2 girls, one bicycle and 3 bags with at least 7 kg.
One bag on my back, one infront and one on my shoulder why the bicycle starts shaking and my ass is immediaye getting aware of the very ( UN ) - pleasant metal on the back of the bicycle.
Downwards ... -yeah I got a bit afraid while all people kept starring at us.
Seems to be the at least fancy method to travel as a foreigner.

Upwards... - we are as fast as a snail, while an old man with a stick would easily overtake us!
So we got a lot of honking but finally made it to the top!

Holding myself, the baggage and trying not to fall down while everybody overtakes us and my friend nearly collapsed at the cycle, we burst out in laugher.

Most probably this wasn't the last time to travel with the cycle.
Dangerous, absolutely not pleasant but super entertaining and fun!!!

No risk- no fun :
Try it out and keep laughing ;)

Love,
