Hiking with my 2 year old daughter, Mt Diablo California !

Kiara began her hiking journey along with us when she was just 2 months shy of her 2nd birthday. It was a 7 miles round trip to Mt Diablo, California and she hiked all the way and back with very little help from us. Of course, we took a lot of little breaks in between for water and snacks. But she did great.

We did not bring any baby carrier with us since we were not really keen about reaching to the destination and thought we will stop when she gets tired.

We just wanted to hang out with her and enjoy the fresh air. But the more we walked the more she surprised us with the energy and enthusiasm. She loved exploring through out the trail.

It was a nice refreshing experience for us as a family from the crazy fast paced world. Hiking with a toddler will force you to slow down and experience the nature in a different way.

Her dada @ashwinrajt put her on his shoulders for a little while when she gets tired. But overall she hiked like a champ

Kiara was not ready to go back home even after the 5 hrs of hiking . Me and my husband was tired and wanted to rest.She still had energy left in her. You can see her in this picture way behind me still exploring something on the trail .
