Rock Climbing With @fellowhuman Volume II — Red Rocks Conservation Area in Gloucester, MA.

"Just Send It"

Lately, my friend @fellowhuman and I have had an itch that we just can't seem to scratch. An itch for rock climbing. The problem being, that there are no natural stone formations large enough to climb locally. Or so we thought. Insert Red Rocks Conservation Area — problem solved. Red Rocks offered everything we could want and more, just 10 minutes from home! It provided an opportunity to top-rope cracks and also presented us with tricky bouldering routes. Enough of this.. here are the pictures!

Upon our arrival, some fellow climbers had already secured a top rope on the two main cracks we intended to climb. They were kind enough to let us use them.. and lounge in the hammock! What great guys!

For the first climb, @fellowhuman had to climb a tree (out of the picture) before traversing across to the main crack.

The next climb was a major crack climb, from the ground to the summit. Clearly, @fellowhuman wasn't impressed. He felt the need to say, "Do I really need a harness? I'm just gonna send it" before climbing the second route.

Due to poor guidance by me, we took the wrong trail in. No harm done. Only the "ENTRANCE boulder" for everyone else, turned into the "EXIT boulder" for us. We still took some time to mess around on it though!

@modernsuperior Love it bro! Startin to feel that itch comin back and I don't think its from the poison ivy we inevitably walked through

WOW! You guys are awesome!

Thanks for the kickstart! Happy gardening.

Just wait for @fellowhuman to post his blog.. he brought the real camera.

Great pictures! I haven't been rock climbing for years, after a serious fall, but this definitely makes me want to get out and try again.

Usually we always bring a pad for safety, but since we were about a mile into the woods.. we figured we'd risk it and save the effort shlepping it in.
