Cave Camping & Mountain Hiking in the Lake District
Steemit is motivating me to work through all the footage I have from my past adventures and get it into some videos.
This trip was from back in summer 2016. We spent three nights wild camping in and around the Lake District which is an absolutely gorgeous rugged part of England. This video details the second night where we discovered an abandoned quarry which contained what is known as the 'Catheral Cave'. As you'll see, it is an impressive chamber with awesome auditory qualities. This special feature led to some rather spooky incidences during the night though.
After sheltering from some rather vicious overnight rain we made our way to the base of Helvellyn, the second tallest mountain in England. Our goal was to hike it then wild camp somewhere near the summit. The summit footage will be posted here soon enough. For now, give this video a watch!
