#Travelers 101: A paradise to Discover
Kalanggaman Island is situated in Palompon, Leyte. It is one of the virgin islands in Leyte that has pure white sand. The ecological atmosphere of the island had been preserved by the municipality. The island has a total area of 5.4 hectares, and it is still uninhabited. There are no hotels or resorts owned privately in the island, but you can put up your own tent because camping is allowed.
Kalanggaman is known for its white sand, clear and blue waters, and magnificent sandbars at both ends of the island. Now, it is one of the top tourist destinations in the Philippines.
It is a perfect place for family bonding or for short weekend trips because of its relaxed ambiance.
No matter how long you might stay in Kalanggaman, it’ll feel too short.
The sandbar disappearing under the waves that come crushing from both sides.
And the rest of the islet, when looking from the sandbar.
The pristine inviting waters of Kalanggaman.
The other side of Kalanggaman: Rocky and green.
Beautiful sand everywhere..
''There used to be sand bards on both sides and the island’s shape resembled a bird when viewed from above, which is how Kalanggaman got its name.''
