A very bad day

Working as a Groundworker you can end up with all sorts of problems bumps and bangs but maybe I should pay attention at work and stop messing around and talking.
Working at markeaton park on a big contract putting in footpaths. There was a lot of wood work and I was never to good with a hand saw 🤔 I was talking to a work college also doing my work. He noticed I wasn’t sawing the wood anymore and I had gone half the way threw my thumb not a clue really as I had severed nerveD750893D-C2E3-4BE2-A830-328E7822E617.jpeg

After a quick trip to the Royal hospital at Derby I was fixed and ready for another day 👌👍30FD879A-F7D7-4A76-B8F6-4FACC7F578A0.jpeg

Not as bad as marra's toe though mate!

Nope I’m lucky

image.jpegO yes I remember that day very well and I think I should shine a little light on what really happened that day. Yes we was putting wooden spikes and boards into the floor but not when all this happened. We was all working hard and there was Haydn in the tree line making a wooden bat because. We had accumulated a lot off golf balls from the golf course and he thought it would be funny to start firing at us well it back fired because he tried making his bat 'better' that's when he realised the saw was sharp😆😆😆

And I was the supervisor at that 🤪🤪

Ouch

Oh noo! Glad to hear they fixed you up so quickly and be careful :-)

Ouch! I once gave myself a scar through careless use of a swede saw, but nothing as bad as yours!

Glad to see it's going to heal.

That’s about right I remember you trying to put a screwdriver through something round and plastic as a kid and the screwdriver slipping off and into your hand. Don’t think boys ever grow up do they? 😆

OUCH! That looks painful! So glad you're apparently healed now.

Ooft, that's a sore one!

thats a scratch bro i hit my head at work and ended uo with a perfect harry potter scar its healed alright but fuck it was a laugh for a bit
