What is Advertise?
Advertise is a service created to "boost," or promote content creators, services, and communities at a much cheaper rate than other methods of reaching the trending page on Steemit using your own funds.
What does getting boosted mean?
We will write a post about your bot/community or you can write and format a post, and we will publish it. From there, we will boost the post to the trending page using bots like @booster and @postpromoter.
Why is using @Advertise better than normal advertisements?
Advertise is the next generation of advertising, where everyone can gain from the advertisements advertised. Advertise had a very selective application process where we will only advertise services or communities that benefit the platform they operate on in some way. Along with writing posts about beneficial services, we will run giveaways in every advertisement. Learn more about that below.
How do we sign up?
Advertise is currently in application-only mode. Before you apply, we require a 1 steem deposit and processing fee sent to @Advertise. Make sure to use a unique memo that you will later list in the form to verify who you are. If you send the deposit fee without submitting a form, you will be refunded¹ 1 steem.
You can click here to be sent to the application. Once we review your application you will receive a DM on Discord or an email letting you know if you have been approved or not.

1 - We will refund the 1 Steem application fee to any rejected applicants, and anyone who is accepted will have 1 steem taken off their final price.

Giveaways!
To boost community growth, we run giveaways along with advertisement posts. When we create a new advertisement post, we will run a giveaway to people who join the service or community advertised, as an incentive to support the service we are advertising, and give back to the community for supporting services and communities that support their platform.

So you're offering to write posts worthy of being on the trending page but don't know the difference between "then" and "than"?
I understand the intent of your service but I don't think it's one that's truly needed on Steemit.
This sounds more like "give us money to cover potential losses from bids; maybe people will actually look at it".
I mean we've had about 20-30 actual people respond to this post and/or join our Discord, so there is definitely engagements with posts that reach the front page. While the money does cover potential losses we have, it's also a lot less then what paying to get your own post up to the front page about your community costs.
I suppose. As long as you guys check submissions for plagiarism, etc., it should be generally free from flags.
Oh we're definitely going to be reviewing any post submitted to be boosted very thoroughly to make sure there is no plagiarized content, nothing too controversial, or nothing that should not be there.

Do you want to discuss why you don't feel a service like ours is needed on the platform? As of right now small communities are often stuck where they are or growing slowly because of a lack of advertisement, and as can be shown by the amount of people engaging with this post, the trending page is an effective way of getting your name out there.
People don't like advertisement. Build up real relationships instead. This post is written in a sleazy way. People don't want someone to come in with their lame greedy mindset. Especially stealing people's money if they would get rejected.
It's a 1 steem application fee. That just prevents people from trying to sign up that do not have the funds to use our service, or people that don't expect to get accepted from filling up the queues. If someone is accepted, That amount is taken off their final price.
People don't like advertisements, I agree. Unfortunately, there is almost no better way to boost communities that don't have funds to help themselves. @Curie ran a great community-helping program a bit ago, but that's over and there are few things to help communities grow since.
Due to what we're going to call popular support of that not being a thing, We've changed it. We will now refund any rejected applicants the 1 steem registration fee and we will take off 1 steem from the final price of accepted applicants.
Please shut it down. You will only lose your time with this kind of software.
What software? This service is entirely run by people.
This service was purely made to give me something to do. I don't plan on profiting from the things I create like @KiwiBot or @CurationKiwi, I often use whatever profits I get to launch something else to spend my time on.
We think you have planned a good service here. However, to get 30SBD to create a worthy post you will have to demonstrate that content produced by your team is good.
We are willing to use your service once we see some sample posts trended by your service.

Really a good project for promoting services and other project with this user can promote there project with some fees mean making your post show on top trending is so much expensive then giving some fees to @advertise and also peoples can claim curatoin rewards.
Very unique initiative to project some focus light on a creator, service or community and to help him gain exposure and visibilty in this platform. Thou I am a plankton, I will try my level best to get connect with you and subscribe to your service.
Procedural services are hopeless nowadays....
In this situation, we all need a unique idea or project which will make us visible in the crowd.

How is this system not a scheme to grow the advertise account using bid bots without having to even write a post? That's what has me unconvinced.
The Advertise team is writing the posts though?
Hmmm I guess I misunderstood something on my first read through the post or something, I didn't quite catch the part where it says it's basically advertisement for communities or services only...
I get it now, I thought you were going to take any post someone else wrote, charge them and then upvote it to trending and keep everything lol but if it's for services and communities it's actually a decent service, my bad.
No problem at all! We noticed there are many good communities that deserve some recognition but are never able to build up enough steem to get themselves to the front page, so we tried to help them out a little, by offering methods to get to the front page for cheap, and methods to get there even cheaper (but with a little more work). This is only intended for services and communities, things that require users to join to stay alive.
