WHAT?! I'M GIVING ADVICE?!

“People think they have their lives all figured out. They lay out their plans and then suddenly a gust of wind dishevels the perfect planned path. While trying to find and put all the pieces back together, it brings you on a beautiful journey that you would have never experienced if it weren’t for that blowing gust of wind. You will find happiness where you would have never even expected to end up and you will learn and experience things that would have never crossed your mind. So why plan out your life? Why try to follow a planned map when you never actually know when or where your final destination will be? Go with the wind not looking for your blown away plans, just go with it and see where it takes you.” I wrote this down in my organic chemistry notebook during a grueling 8am lecture last semester. I remember stressing out because that week I was told that all the pre nursing students were going to find out if they were placed into the program or not. I was trying to convince myself that whatever news I received, whether accepted or not, everything will work out in the long run. I found it recently and it reminded me to stop worrying so much about what is going to happen next week or next month. I think everyone needs to be reminded that some things are and aren’t meant to be. If something isn’t working out let go and make room for bigger and better things that, in the long run, will help you wind up exactly where you belong.

*Finding out I was accepted into the nursing program was so exciting. I dreamed of going to this nursing school since I was 16 and I knew it wasn’t going to be easy, but man, am I enjoying the ride! Looks like I’m meant to be in the mountains for at least a few more years and from there, we'll see where this crazy exciting life takes me :)
