AMA with Phil Zamani, CEO of AERGO Project. 11/09/2018

On the 9th of November 2018 the community of AERGO had an AMA with Phil Zamani, the CEO of the project. The list of the Q&A is below:

1 - What is the vesting schedule for all tokens?

From immediate release (upon TGE) - to up to three years of locking - depending on the token type and investor/holder type).

What about the team (tokens)?

Same - some from TGE - others up to 3 years.

Will you release all these details?

Yes, when the time is appropriate for each investor class - there is no reason to release this now other than for pure speculation (we don't support speculation - we deal with facts!).

2 - Sir Phil Zamani, what will be the rewards of those who cannot pass the kyc process? will be shared among the winners?:)

No, they will be used for another future rewardrop (3 more planned already!!)

3 - What are the community incentive tokens and what is the vesting?

Not yet finalized.

4 - Hi, Phil. Besides Captain AERGO and Gotchu, what other dApps are in development?

We can't release more info yet - we do have others planned

5 - Hello, Phil. When can we test the public version of testnet?

Not sure - need tech team to explain this but I think we are talking weeks away only (help tech team!!!)

6 - As I'm seeing elections happening all around us these days, I was remembering Blocko's involvement in Gyeonggi-do's voting, and the articles mentioned that institutions have started to make contact in regards to the future use of these methods. Is this actively happening?

Yes it is, I will be in touch with all the top ten ambassadors very soon - I also plan to make contact with every ambassador as we have creative plans for you as well 😉

7 - Hi Phil, I wasn't chosen as an ambassador, but I would like to become an ambassador, I don't need $ 2000, I want to promote the project and earn money in the future, is it possible for me and others or it's too late?:)

8 - Hello Phil, as far as I know, AERGO received over $750m in allocation requests for your private round. However, in Summary of the private token sale raise, the funds raised was only $28,832,654 (28.8% of Total) meaning the hardcap was not reached. Also, this number is also very far from the allocation request's number. Why is that?

We did reach the hard cap of $30M - its the way the numbers had to be reported at the time. The reason we only took $30M is because that is all we needed for the project. Some firms in crypto just "do the right thing" vs. "the greedy thing" perhaps 😊

9 - Hello. What marketing activities are Aergo's priority right now?

We are doing many things around marketing - form community building - ecosystem building - dApp building - university/research partnership building - lighthouse customer marketing - and last week we talked directly to a G7 Government about helping them with AERGO (we don't always publicize these facts though...)

10 - They don't like to talk about vesting for team Foundation advisors etc for some reason 🙄 either ignore you or give vague answers.

Because these are often private matters - all our vesting is done for one reason alone - the long-term interest of AERGO (not individuals or firms)

11 - Sir Phil Each token value in rerwardrop is 0.20 cents? I won 500$ 2500 pieces of the token will be sent to me?

we have not yet determined the strike price of the tokens as they have not yet been generated - there is a defined legal and financial model for how these things are calculated and they are done at the time of creation (its called time-value-of-an-asset)

That means the price will be determined according to the token price in exchange?

No, the price will be set at TGE (well before any possible exchange listing)

12 - Where I can present my idea ... to collaborate with AERGO?

13 - Hello, Phil. What do you think about the state of the cryptocurrency market at this time? ETF? As well as the behavior of other projects, changing the terms of sale and moving dates due to market conditions unilaterally. At the same time completely ignoring the community.

I cannot talk about other projects or the industry as a whole - AERGO does NOT do these things - an agreement is an agreement and I hope you all feel we try our very best to listen-help and reward our AERGO community 😊

14 - What is the basic difference b/w AergoSHIP and Ethereum smart contracts, what's your point of view?!

No easy to answer quickly (tech team?) SHIP supports a much more diverse range of potential application models vs. Ethereum - as the underlying architecture of AERGO is much more flexible (private and public chains and serverless cloud deployment using microservices based software design patterns)...or in same words...much more flexible!

15 - What kind of work useful for Aergo would you recommend for ambassadors to focus on?

We will contact all ambassadors soon with a range of ways to help (and get rewarded 😊)...one of them is regional meetups to spread the word and spread the tech.

16 - Hello Phil 👋🏻 When AERGO team will give us a chance to touch the browser wallet and will they let the community test it? 🙂

Everything we ship will be tested...multiple times...pls be patient for short while...coming very soon :=)

17 - Hi Phil, can you please explain how the gas will work in AERGO? For every transaction?

No every transaction, only transactions that consume meaningful resources...will be very fair and easy to understand.

18 - Where do the reward tokens come from?

Our reserve (i.e. Treasury)

19 - Any plan for the roadmap to be restructured? Mainnet coming soon? What's the possibility of a testnet this year? Still possible?

Yes - we are on plan!

20 - Hi Phil, How about the issue of scalability. How would you differentiate AERGO to other existing platforms? Where do you see this project performing better than others say in the long run? Maybe 5-10 years from now? Thanks.

Very good question...AERGO is a 100% clean room implementation...this means it uses the latest ideas...is not restricted due to prior architectures (like Ethereum)...and we are designing some very cool side-chain capabilities to improve end to end transactions throughput (TPS is just one of many factors that need to be considered).

21 - Hi Phil, tell us please when are you planning to kick-off the Aergo World Tour?

Probably do a test run in December then full trou from January (Russia may be one of our test locations 😊 )

22 - Phil! Good days! There is any no plan with sharding tech?

We are looking at sharding as well - one of many design choices the R&D team will finalize soon.

23 - We haven't heard from the third board member, the Holland man! Hunyoung park and you have been the most active, does it mean he is not part of the team?

He is focused on investor relations...a different "community".

24 - Judging that AERGO will run on DPOS similar to Steem....is there any chance that transactions will be free?

Some will be free - yes.

25 - Can you tell us more about BLOCKO's founder Won-Beom Kim? What is his role in the development of Aergo? When will he come to our community chat?

Won has been busy developing some secret and new tech - expect to see a lot more of him soon in the developer/community circles 😉

26 - The team AERGO has made everything possible to accommodate everyone.. Thank You, Phil, for your tremendous and wise decisions.

27 - Will AERGO coin produce any underlying resource/token/utility that will be used to perform actions or run dapps on the AERGO platform?

I believe so (tech team pls clarify for the community).

28 - There are some rumors that the financial situation of Blocko is not good. Is it true?

You are absolutely right. Rumors. Blocko raised $10M in the venture (growth) funding a few months ago - we pay our developers well (but NOT that well!!!)...focus on facts...Blocko is winning business and generating real income as it delivers real production solutions...to real customers....how many other blockchain companies are generating cash???

29 - What happens to the tokens of those who don’t pass kyc?

As stated they get re-used for a later community Rewardrop (as early as next month perhaps!).

30 - If the bps are rewarded...How exactly?

This will be explained publicly later...right now only the early target bps are aware of the options (we are in market testing phase).

31 - Will there be any possibilities for crypto startups to host airdrops and ico on aergo?

All options are possible...some we are already in discussions on i.e. exploring 😉

32 - Phil, do you have any news on Captain Aergo? :)
the project is on plan...we will share more when we can reveal more details and the platform has stabilized.

33 - Mr. Phil, how many project developers are working full-time now?

+50 (I think 53 at last count)

34 - I have a question about the developers. Do you plan to attract developers for a fee from the outside, for the active development of the product on github? How and when will this happen?

Hi Dobrodel - we are looking at all forms of bounty, developer community challenge, and university/research grants- so yes (one we have mainnet almost ready).

35 - When distributed rewardrop token? sir Phil?

Not yet finalized but I will do everything I can to make sure the community tokens are released as soon as they can be

36 - Time launch mainnet? Swap is before launch mainnet?
Mainnet launch as per white/tech paper...atomic swap right after the network is fully operational and stable.

37 - Btw, 80% success rate [KYC] looks horrible.😃

We don't control the input parameters..if fewer people pass than planned...we will just reward future community members/future work.

38 - Exact time launch mainnet?

It is planned to end 1Q 2019/early Q2 2019 (if it needs more testing/ stabilization).

39 - Hello, Phil. What is the biggest ambition of AERGO?

Honestly speaking, I really want to see the AERGO team, the AERGO tech and the AERGO community to be able to look back in a few years and say something like: ".....wow...that was fun...and that that was an amazing part of my life...and yes I WAS part of this great adventure!"...pride - trust - respect - humility and fun are core principles of my life (business and private).

40 - When ambassador work will be told?

We are in discussion with a select few (we want to focus on quality first before we expand)

No we deal with this (minor) issue privately and sensitively

44 - Have you a strong plan, for increase value your token And project? I mean to partner with the big company in Korea and in the world? Add your token to big and famous exchange?

We have a BIG plan...and a backup plan...and then a backup to the backup 😊

45 - Since Gyeonggi-do, has Blocko/Aergo been involved in ongoing voting events of any sort? Is this use case Coinstack being further expanded upon, practically in South Korea, and therefore as an example or even a catalyst for taking it outside of Korea?

Yes, we are talking to companies and governments about similar ideas...nothing we can share for now though (sorry).

46 - Will you ever take fiat as payment for transactions?

Possibly (as clients may not all want to deal with "tokens" in the beginning).

47 - Hello Mr. Phil! What is the next target in TPS? Now at peak 10790.

Very good questions 10,790 is just the start. With no optimization and no extra tech that we are developing this just stepping stone)...we think AERGO will have a very high end-to-end throughput - but this will develop and evolve over time
