On the 13th of December 2018, the community of AERGO had an AMA with Phil Zamani, the CEO of the project. The list of the Q&A is below:
1 - Are tokens freely transferable or locked till 17th?
Locked - pre-selling or re-selling is not allowed and will result in tokens not being given out.
2 - Is there any other use of AERGO token aside from paying transaction fees? Anything like staking or like EOS network share base on tokens you hold on AERGO?

3 - No projects listed on Korbit or Gopax immediately…This is a big news...
We like Gopax and we like Korbit - they "get" our project and "get" what we are trying to achieve - we had many many exchanges approach us to list - we have selected the right ones for our project - I am sure of this!
4 - Is there any other use of AERGO token aside from paying transaction fees? Anything like staking or like EOS network share base on tokens you hold on AERGO?
Yes we have a full staking model with multiple use cases - we will explain more about this very soon.
5 - 18days to 2019! Is the TestNet coming sir?? On the scale of 1-10, What's the probability that the team will deliver sir??
We are ahead of schedule. I believe our MAINnet will be released in Q1 2019. The team is working hard and at a fast execution speed
Phil - 11/10 - its already ready (we are just testing everything we ship before we ship anything) - real engineers - real experience - real test cases. (Camron)
6 - Hello Phil. Some weeks ago Aergo participated in the voting for listing on Huobi exchange. But after the end of the competition, Aergo was removed from the list of candidates. The support told me, quote: “the project party retired its vote in Huobi after consulting with us”. Could you tell more about this? Skip the question if this subject is under NDA. Thanks for the AMA!
As stated - we chose where to list (not the other way around) - we are very happy with our selection(s)...more to be released soon.
7 - You mentioned that you have RedHat Developers inside working for Aergo, how many? How is the development process going?
We have one of the strongest teams on the planet...ex Cygnus...Red Hat...Vmware...Suse...Deutsch Telekom expertise.
8 - Hi Phil. Would you be so kind to let me know what will be initial circulating supply upon listing? I need a number of tokens that will be tradable during the first week after listing.
We do not disclose this type of confidential business information...its how normal market operate...
- Not at all. Every other crypto projects disclose it...
We don't - no reason to if the project follows industry best practices - we do and will continue to do so.
9 - Is the international exchange Korean?
No.
10 - Hi sir I was in top 20 otc detector I didn't win any Rewardrop tokens any chance for me to get tokens and be rewarded for my effort.

11 - Phil, when will we see news on Captain Aergo? Any release timeframe?
We will release more info soon...currently, the project is talking to a cohort of early adopters experienced in this field...we want to get this right!

13 - I was taking the time to inspect each mention and the comments that followed accordingly. Seems like an interesting way to approach your first couple of listings. Is there a specific reason why you are not listing immediately on a global exchange as you had mentioned? But anyways, my first question is this:
When will the Aergo Token have effective immediate Utility on its platform? Will this be on Mainnet launch Q1 2019 as you had mentioned?
Yes on MainNet - planned for end 1Q2019/April.
14 - Also your team is big, need to survive in "Crypto-Winter"
Its snowing in Seoul today...but Aergo is super hot today!!!
15 - When RewarDrop 2?
Its start Monday with a cool competition on Gopax's exchange - see my opening message above.
16 - What would you call your main competitors in the space if there are any?
BLOCKO, Aergo’s strategic development, and deployment partner have the second most blockchain in-production deployments after IBM. (Camron)
17 - What other Countries outside of Korea will you mostly focus on as you expand? Will you set up a base anywhere else?
Aergo is an international project - we are currently looking at expanding and focusing on SouthEast Asia, China, Europe, and f course Korea - but we are already talking to very large prospect clients, partners and dAPP teams around the globe.
18 - It was mentioned that Rewardrops will be distributed through the Korbit exchange? DO we need to sign up an account with them to receive it?
Yes - more details to follow soon
19 - Does AERGO also supports cloud storage?
Absolutely - part of our serverless strategy.
20 - Does all operations/transactions of AERGO chain requires a fee?
No
21 - Do you have a presence in Australia?

28 - Do your best practices include dumping on newbies? No person in their right mind would invest in a project without knowing its circulating supply.
Terms like dumping and pump-n-dump do not register with Aergo - if you are expecting these on this project - please kindly leave our community now - serious project - serious team - serious market to address - its a long-term game with Aergo (think Linux and Red Hat!).
29 - Does AERGO has the interchain capability? Like communicating with other non-Aergo chains like EOS.
Yes, we will be interoperable with Ethereum chain initially

Yes

We support remote working for experienced developers (aka the open source way).
31 - Why did you choose Korbit and GOPAX like first exchanges?
Because they are run by professionals who also "get it" in respect of Aergo and what we are all about!
32 - What theoretical network attacks is Aergo vulnerable? And how do you solve these?

Hi Crypto Architect - yes we are in advanced discussion but do not want to release this info yet - unlike many other projects we have major corporations vying to become block producers - this also means it takes longer to agree to the model and terms of engagement.
38 - Are there any approximate number about tx/s that Aergo network would support? Really curious about this, although this is not really that important.
Head to our website and check out Aergo Scan. Regardless, since Aergo has an N-tier sidechain architecture - it has a very high throughput which is not at risk of depreciating like on other chains when networks get congested. (Camron)

We have been approached by a number of projects in the past few weeks - everything from "can you buy us?" to "can you help us move off platform xxx and onto Aergo?"...we support the later!
43 - Hi, Phil! Is there any chance to see AERGO in Moscow?
Yes - very soon..and St. Petersburg!
44 - What are the main differences between what AERGO is looking to achieve versus ICON?
Aergo has been designed and built with around the needs of customers. It’s lucky in that it’s key strategic and development partner is Blocko - the leading blockchain infrastructure provider in Korea. There are many differences between us and others from both a technical and commercial standpoint.

45 - Hello Phil. Thank you for the good news! Can you please tell me if AERGO competes with Amazon Managed Blockchain? Developers ask me this question. I know that AERGO is the best. What arguments should I look for to prove this to the developers?
They are one of our competitors...as is IBM...developers should choose the best platform for their needs (we thins it Aergo for distributed trust-based systems and networks 😊)
46 - 1. Sir, when we will see the list of Cities for you to come? 2. If the bear market will go on for the next 1-2 years, can the project still survive?
We are well funded for the long term - we don't worry too much about the market...we focus on tech development...customers and partners...the rest will take care of itself!
47 - Are you developing your in-house oracle solution, or are you looking for already existing solutions currently available in the industry?
One for the tech team..assume we are looking at various options make-buy-adopt-adapt.
48 - Hi Phil, What do you think are the biggest limitations you are currently facing with scalability at the moment? and how are you overcoming them?
Aergo is approaching the scalability problem via 1. Democratic dPoS powered by very stable and available IT vendors (typically telcos) 2. Parallel processing 3. Side chain N-tier blockchain configuration.

50 - Hi, sir, do you mean it needs to spread the video link on social media like Twitter to get the reward drop tokens, am I right?
The more people help - the more they get rewarded - its simple!
51 - @philzamani this is a bit more open-ended question but where do you see yourself in say 5 years time frame from now with Aergo? Do you see yourself overtaking Hyperledger Fabric easily?
We see ourselves as the backbone of new business ecosystems that have the power to create an enormous amount of new value for businesses. For example, today businesses can’t share or capitalize on their data without huge risks. Crypto-network powered applications offer a completely new, more secure architecture and business model to allow this to happen. The opportunities Aergo will embark on will be next level!

Coinstack will be upwards compatible with Aergo and will offer for many on-ramps to a fully distributed and open architecture for exciting new applications (Camron)
- This question is probably the most important question since it's the downfall of utility tokens like icon since no one uses and has almost zero transactions on bc because of non-existing private chains or private chains no need to use public chain.
The team behind Aergo are actual engineers who work in the many companies that will see the most benefit from this new platform...so we have a chance we believe! (Phil).
- thanks, Phil. We believe you will do. I just wonder how long it might take to fully utilize Aergo for private chains/partners to start using Aergo. Since it will help Aergo gain value like crazy.

I will do everything I can to release tokens to our community members who have helped us to date - these RewarDrop Tokens were planned to be released late 1Q2019 - I will make this earlier...a lot earlier!...in fact, our community will have better vesting than all other token-holders!

58 - This is more of the personal question! what's driving you in making AERGO one of the world most adopted enterprise blockchain? Is it the Money or been in the front-page of been one of the 1000+ figures that made open-source blockchain what it will be in the future? It's easy to pick option B though lol, but will still take my chances to see option A with reasons!
I simply like working on complex - innovative projects - and where I am surrounded by people much more talented than I ever was (or ever will be!!)
59 - You said before about fiat being a payment option, would the token be involved in this process or could fiat be used and rewarded to BP’s without the use of the token.
The team is working on the token utility which expands beyond payment. Please wait for more announcements regarding this. :)

60 - I'm very much into Aergo's philosophy but Hyperledger is part of the Linux Foundation, they are doing good things in the space..
Yes they are - but I was asked my opinion on their future - I saw a similar story pan out at Red Hat...companies need to fully embrace open source to succeed...just look at the amazing job and turnaround Sayta Nadal is doing at MSFT...they even hired one of my friends and ex SuSe/Novell colleagues to run GitHub @Nat Friedman (probably their next CEO!!).
