Hi Everyone,

As we enter the first week of the finals you will start to find less and less unique players in your match ups.

This is due to the best players have been snapped up by most teams that are still alive.

This makes your Captain choice even more vital.

Tom Mitchell as always is the safe option but if you find yourself outgunned by your upcoming opponent, nailing a different Captain choice could be the difference between Winning and Losing.

Here are this weeks best choices:

Tom Mitchell (Hawthorn)

Let’s get the obvious one out of the way first.

Out season’s top Fantasy scorer Tom Mitchell is in white hot form at the moment with scores of 157, 187 and 160 in his last 3 matches.

You would be game to take him on but after 3 huge weeks could he be due to cool down a little?

Essendon have confirmed already they will be attempting to tag him this week.

A Gaff (West Coast)

If you are looking for a different Captain choice for this weekend Gaff could be your man.

Disregard his quieter 83 game last week as the ground and conditions in Tassie were no conducive to the West
Coast game plan and they were just hugging the boundary all day.

Back at Optus Oval in a big derby match in front of a huge crowd you can be sure Gaff will back to his absolute best.

P Cripps (Carlton)

Cripps is a one man army in the Midfield for Carlton this year and it doesn’t seem to matter who he is up against, tagged or not tagged, he just does the job every week.

He has taken his scoring to another level this year and he has now moved into 5th placed on the Fantasy Scoring ladder.

Being fresh off a ballistic 162 last week and if anyone could outscore Mitchell right now, surely it is this guy.

D Zorko (Brisbane)

Here is a real left field one for the 4th choice.

Last year it would have been par for the course to raise Zorko’s name as a potential captain but he has not been as prolific this year.

He has however seemed to get on top of the taggers of late and is back to consistently getting 100’s.

This is a man who has scored in the 170’s before for Fantasy, maybe even higher and he is long overdue for a really big game.

At the Gabba against a North Melbourne side minus their tagger Jacobs, this could be the day.

Worth a punt if you need to go for broke this week.

Best of luck for whoever you choose this week and I look forward to seeing these finals results.

Thanks for reading :)
