GARRI: garri also known as (gari, garry, gali and cassava flakes) is a popular west African food made from cassava tubers. origin: of course it originates from our very own nigeria, the northern part, hausa precisely it was used to describe any powdery food. It is a great source of cabohydrate.
PROCESS: to make garri cassava tubers are peeled, washed and grated to produce a mash.the mash could be mixed with palm oil (oil garri) before been placed in a porous bag, then placed in a adjustable press machine for 1-3 hrs to remove excess starchy water when the cassava is dry enough we move on to step 3 where it is then sieved and fried in a large clay frying pot without any oil.resulting to a dry granular garri that can be stored for a long period of time. how to make and eat garri: I am going to talk about the two major ways we eat it in Nigeria.

Eba: eba is stiff dough made with sticking garri in hot water and kneading it with a flat wooden baton, what we call turning stick,"omo irogun" as it is generally called in yoruba. Here is 1 cute eba😘

2.soacked garri: my favourite part. This is easy just get a hollow plate, add your quantity of garri add water sweetener and decide you wanna ganish it. You can take it with milk, fish, meat, peanuts(groundnuts)coconut, moimoi, beanscake (akara),cooked beans etc i have even heard people say they soack thier garri with soft drinks asin pepesi coke mirinda and tge rest...never tried that tho "can someone please try it and give me a feed back??? (Thanks in advance)so my fellow garrium(student way of calling it) lovers tell me how do you love your garium.

You guys know the rest na, so there is this general saying that garri na poor mans food who still agrees with that??
So my questions for the day
1.how do you love your garium ?
2.do you still agree that garri is a poor mans food?
Experiment for the day: please try garri and coke or pepsi or any other soft drink and give me feed back.
And incase u are feeling shy too shy to tell me you drink garri no wahala this is for you
