Jahangir Mahal - Historical Place
It is the largest part of Agra Fort. The palace is being made by emperor Akbar on the bend of the Yamuna river.He built the palace for his son Jahangir. Jahangir’s wife Nur Jahan resided in the palace. The palace is one of the top examples of Mughal Architecture, with intricate Hindu and Islamic motifs. Only 30 of the original 500 buildings at the site survive. Much of the fort was destroyed by Shah Jahan and later by the British invaders.
