AIR-CLINIC WRITING CONTEST 22:Mosquitoes & The African Man!
When we speak of endemic diseases we must consider the "vectors" carrying organisms of those viruses, bacteria and parasites that affect the health of a population mass of representative dimensions.
Mosquitoes are the most dangerous animals for human beings that can be found on the planet. Historical attempts to control the mosquito population have been unsuccessful. Currently, work is being done on inoculating a bacterium (wolbachia) in mosquitoes so that they are unable to carry the pathogenic factor of the diseases.
Diseases transmitted by mosquitoes that affect a large percentage of the population of The African Continent are:
- Zika, Dengue, Chikungunya. (Aedes aegypti).
- Sleep Disease (African Trypanosomiasis). (Fly Tsé-Tsé).
- Malaria or Malaria. (Anopheles)
Anopheles carries the plasmodium falciparum parasite, the most deadly globally and the one with the highest incidence in Africa.
The African region registers 90% of malaria cases and 92% of the deaths caused by this disease in the world. Specifically, thirteen countries in sub-Saharan Africa accounted for 76% of malaria cases and 75% of deaths worldwide, 70% in children under five years of age. In Kenya, malaria causes around 6.5 million infections and 12,000 deaths annually. In 2015, the country had 3% of the cases in the world.
The African Continent has been the victim of a perverse population control with the experimentation of new strains of diseases inoculated in Men, Women and Children. This has exponentially decreased the quality of life. The new generations are severely affected in their neurological and physical development. Maybe it's a new form of slavery.
Thanks for the enlightenment @juanmolina. And thanks to air-clinic for facilitating this
