AirWire Patent Update

AirWire is the fastest and easiest way to send cryptocurrency to anyone in the world. It is also a patent-pending, fully-functional platform that has been in operation since 2017. With our advanced features, you can send cryptocurrency to anyone through SMS (text), email, social networks, QR codes, or custom links--even when the recipient hasn’t set up the required digital crypto wallet. There is no quicker way to reach mass adoption than to make cryptocurrency easily accessible to the masses!

Our patent-pending protocols focus on acquiring, onboarding, and wallet auto-generation for the user. It doesn’t require the recipient to pre-download the corresponding wallet, or distribute their address in advance, nor does it require advanced knowledge that a transaction is about to occur.

If you go back to when we started our token sale, there was zero talk about mass adoption in the crypto space; and even fewer companies focused on end-user interfaces that could seamlessly bring in unadopted crypto users. We feel our company and technology reignited the mass-adoption conversation that you now see everywhere; including the big dogs like Vitalik Buterin during his interviews. We were so early with this technology that we took time to think of different scenarios that would achieve the same goals. We planned on patenting these ideas as well. After thorough analysis, we found no other way to achieve the same end result.

Just recently, Intuit was granted their patent on sending crypto through SMS. We have analyzed their patent and neither company is interfering with each other’s technology. They decided to patent a more traditional route versus the cryptocurrency-style route we submitted patents for. Their patent will be geared more towards traditional banks and other legacy institutions that we never wanted to focus on. We feel very comfortable with our processes and their role in creating mass adoption on an individual level.

Jumpstarting this conversation also had its downside. If you look around, you will see multiple companies claiming to have some sort of technology that resembles AirWire. Some of those companies had nothing close to our technology until they encountered AirWire. It’s not important to disclose their company names at this point. There are also other companies who probably didn’t even realize they were copying what we were doing. After all, great minds think alike, right? Regardless, the law does not allow for patent infringement for any reason.

That being said, we would like to showcase the bio of our great patent legal team.

Andrew Van Court is a Managing Partner at Van Court & Aldridge LLP, a boutique law firm focused on providing effective intellectual property counseling and patent prosecution services. He has over 16 years of experience representing technology institutions in connection with the management of large and complex patent portfolios, patent clearances, strategic patent prosecution, and patent preparation. In addition to his law firm experience, he has worked in-house for a large corporation where he managed a patent portfolio and outside counsel, developed internal system processes, and immersed himself in the business group to harvest intellectual property. In both roles, he worked closely with engineers, executives, and other thought leaders to extract maximum value out of his clients’ patent portfolios by obtaining broad and enforceable patent coverage and shoring up patent defenses to potential competitors.

You might recognize the company where he was formerly the Senior Patent Counsel… Apple Inc.

We are continuing to hit our milestones in the patent process and Andrew feels very confident we will receive a full, executable patent on our technology very soon.

Where does this leave our competitors and copycats? Well, while our current community is getting quite frustrated with the unnamed companies we discussed above, they will not be immune to litigation once our patent is confirmed. For those who aren’t familiar with patent law, the patent covers the technology, retroactively, from the moment a company submits its provisional patent. We submitted our internationally protected patent on April 26th, 2018; well before we released the AirWire platform. We also have videos and timestamped code to prove our technology was initially built back in 2017.

Our polite recommendation is that all companies do the right thing as the rest of our partners have done: Negotiate a listing agreement on the AirWire platform and cease current operations that knowingly, or unknowingly, infringes upon our patent. It will save companies possible PR embarrassment and possible monetary fines. Next time you see another blockchain company touting this technology, I want you to remember this update.

We look forward to executing and protecting our intellectual property and will soon be, again, the only company in crypto to legally wield our breakthrough technology. A technology that no one else in the crypto space was able to create for the first eight years of the existence of blockchain industry.

Thank you,

Ken DiCross
