Just read through all the posts, you've come so far and done so much for the little guy! I really hope it turns out well for you guys. He's so lucky you found him. And you are not crazy at all for wanting to take care of him, for trying to give him another chance at life, you are amazing and full of heart ♡♡♡

You’re his new mom-friend-caretaker. Even if he flies, you’ll still be his main woman. Get use to your new friend. It’ll be an awesome relationship.
Happy you found some good food for him.
Trick will be teaching him how to find his own food.
That will come with time and your understanding.
Eventually, Ru will become more independent and may leave to hang out with his friends at times. He’ll always be your guard bird if he stays in your area.
I’ll enjoy reading the children’s book you’ll write about
