Bitcoin Private Update - The snapshot date has been announced!

As promised the Bitcoin Private team dropped some HUGE news today!
The snapshot date for ZClassic and Bitcoin holders will be 02/28/2018!!

This has been an amazing weekend for Bitcoin Private and security as a whole. On Saturday Jake Brutman (Operations Lead) and Tai Zen (Lead Spokesperson) gave a private talk to a live crowd, and on Sunday Tai and Jake returned to the stage with the addition of Reegan Lessie (Lead Privacy Advocate) and Rhett Creighton (Founder of Bitcoin Private) during a live streamed event that included the announcement followed by a Q&A.

During the live streamed event Tai Zen addressed what Cryptocurrency is, why it's important, how privacy helps everyone, and how Bitcoin Private adds to this movement going forward. Jake then added some specific information regarding Bitcoin Private, talked about his experience thus far and some future plans for Bitcoin Private. Reegan discussed privacy overall and how each of us has the right to keep our information secret, should we choose to do so. She added that the way you spend your money is your business and should not be shared across the globe, even if you have nothing to hide. Finally Rhett took to the stage to brief the audience on ZClassic's and Bitcoin Private's history, where the idea came from, and how he plans to move forward with Bitcoin Private. Overall it was an excellent presentation filled with valuable information and insight from the people at the forefront of this movement.

Some brief points made during the talk:

• In about one month over 100 individual contributers have joined the Bitcoin Private team
• The ZClassic Miner Donation Program is going great, now with about 18% of the network's hash being directed to it
• The Electrum Wallet is now functional and has been released, and shielded transactions are rapidly approaching
• Community talent has been and is continuing to be sourced, joining the public Discord is the best way to help
• The Snapshot date has been announced (02.28.2018)

As I have said before, the mining program is a great way to help the team and gain additional BTCP tokens. If you are not a miner, you can also get BTCP by holding either ZCL or BTC at the time the snapshot is taken. At the time this is posted you can currently get ~80 ZCL tokens for the price of 1 BTC. This offers a fantastic conversion rate for those holding BTC but looking forward to the Bitcoin Private's release. You can currently trade BTC for ZCL tokens on Bittrex as well as Cryptopia.
