An exciting place for baseball lovers, Venezuelan Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum

The museum and hall of fame are located at Naguanagua 2005, Carabobo, Venezuela, and it is open seven days a week from 12 pm to 7 pm. The museum is called initially ‘The Salón de la Fama y Museo Del Béisbol Venezolano’; is a nonprofit organization and is functioned solely on private interests. This museum was founded in April 2002 by the grace of Carlos Daniel. This museum is located inside Centro Sambil in the third largest city of, which is Valencia. The museum offers its audience and visitors the history and origins of baseball; i.e., how it developed, from where it came from, and what is known about the national sport of Venezuela and other things related to baseball. The museum also shows the famous baseball players from around the world and especially from Venezuela, it shows their achievements, their struggles, their, and all about their personalities. Apart from this, the museum also has a section which honors, appreciates and recognize the people who have worked for the baseball, made contributions to it and made it better in Venezuela and how baseball made a significant impact on the culture of this region. The museum has two levels; the 1st level has a museum containing four rooms of baseball history, an Andres Galarraga art gallery, an auditorium which is dedicated to Luis Aparicio, a shop of souvenirs and gifts and a baseball library. On the 2nd floor, there are two batting baseball cages, a newsroom and a permanent hall of fame exhibition which is always in session. Since the museum opened, it has two committees which are in charge of selecting the most prominent and notable baseball players of all time from around the world. The two committees are the contemporary and historical committees. The contemporary committee consists of representatives of media, umpires, scorekeepers, player’s associate officers and people from VPBL (Venezuela Professional Baseball League) who select players from the era 1980-2012. The historical committee chooses players from the era before 1980 from VPBL. If you are a fan of baseball, then this place is a must visit for you.
