I think we are all a little fan of sports. We exercise, jog, go for a run, go to the gym, play soccer, basketball, etc. it brings the adrenalin rush!
But the excitement is when you watch a game on the TV or if you are in a stadium. The feeling is harder and even more exciting!
If you get a chance while you are on your trip/vacation to go and watch a game, that is never a bad idea.
It is a great idea, and you should go! You get to see a game, cheer and learn something new about the soccer team that is playing if you are not a fan or you are for the first time in the stadium. It is thrilling, and it is fun!
That is why, when you travel to Venezuela, in this amazing city, Maracaibo, you will get a chance to go to the stadium and watch a game! In this case,
we are talking about football or soccer, whatever you feel like calling it.
When you are in Maracaibo, there is a sports stadium that it is a must see! Estadio Jose Encarnacion “Pachencho” Romero stadium. It has 40,800 spectators.
There is a running track and scorches concrete cycling track. Copa America 2007 was celebrated on this stadium.
It is regarded as national cultural heritage of Zulia state, and the reason the stadium was built was because of the Bolivarian Sports Games in 1971, and later it was remodeled because of the Games Central American and Caribbean Maracaibo in 1998 and the national team won a gold medal at the selection of Mexico.
Name of the stadium is in honor of a prominent athlete Zulia dedicated to athletics.
The stadium is one of many who belong to a conglomerate of several sports’ stadium known as Polideportivo Luis Aparicio Jr. and
where others are also among the Luis Aparicio El Grande (baseball) and Peter Elías Belisario Aponte Gymnasium (basketball).
