It’s been a freaky situation for the gamers all around the globe due to the sudden bump in the prices of graphics cards from recent years which led to a decrease of 7% in PC gaming industry and has lead to a drastic decrease in sales of major graphics card manufactures. This may be the reason which forced AMD to come up with a new marketing strategy which can bring a little relief to the pocket of an average pc gamer.

The direct reason for the crazy prices of graphics cards is the trend of “mining”,” AMD’s vice president Scott Herkelman exclaimed that “there’s no question regarding this.” And to ensure mining doesn’t stop people from getting their graphics cards AMD is looking into selling GPUs directly to gamers.

Thankfully, GPU crisis seems to be almost come to an end, with the graphics card industry becoming even more resistant to another potential cryptocurrency recidivism. The company has been working hard over the last few years to make sure the stock returns to a much greater level, and which must enter the market low pricing. These were the, only steps company was able to take and had no direct control over the pricing of GPU’s.

Manufacturing more GPUs for the market is only a part of the scenario when retailers are still able to sell old replenished GPU’s while accommodating their massive price tags then what and how to stop them from charging the customers according to their wish for GPU’s? The retailers only have each other to compete within the market, and hence as long as they want to keep their profits high, they keep the margins high thus shops can continue to accommodate high levels of profits

AMD doesn’t manage the rating of their video cards and they don’t sell them directly to the customers. And this is what something AMD can think of to get a decrease in prices of GPU’s.

Said Herkelman, “I’ve been tediously thinking about it. I think till next year we may come up with a situation in which we sell our AIB partners, or help them and give them a common platform, a platform to get gamers direct products. whether MSI, ASUS, ZOTAC, Sapphire, or anyone else would want to sell through our website or something. It’s our wish, and our duty, to make sure gamers have access to some reasonably priced product.”

Whatever may happen but these plans are ought to bring some decrease in prices of the graphics cards and we’ll surely see an increase in pc gaming industry in coming months.
