Neil Gaiman's book to television adaption is a masterpiece. If you're lucky a writer has a great novel under his belt. If a television producer is lucky he produces a great tv show from a cheesy story or script. If you have both you're golden.
American Gods is one of those great novels and tv shows that creates must see tv, as well as must read literature. The title speaks for itself. What happens when a melting pot receives dozens of deities from other cultures? Well, you get them bringing their gods with them.
American Gods has that. Interesting enough it has it's own deities from the Americas. Didn't think America had deities? Are you certain you don't already worship some of them? Tune in to American Gods and find out which ones.
