WEB ANALYTICS what is it? what is it for?
Today, having a web page does not seem so simple. Many things must be considered, from the structure of the page, design, colors and content, but a very important point that must be taken into account are the metrics in fact everything is.
To know if your website is successful, Web Analytics offers you the information you need to know if your content is being effective, and to determine if you are reaching the public that you need.
This allows to see which are the weak points that must be improved, which content of the page to highlight more, also allows to section the information to know:
From where they see your content
How many people enter your page daily.
The bounce rate (average used to know how many people enter the page and leave quickly because they do not like something).
And many other things. Throughout this post we will see some concepts and strategies that can be used to know what Web Analytics is and how to improve it if we have a web page.
To know more in detail about the subject, let's start by knowing:
WHAT IS WEB ANALYTICS?
Web analytics is the result of collating and analyzing the activity of the website with the aim of focusing actions to improve the results. The important thing about this is to understand that it is a technical as well as a business tool.
WHAT IS IT FOR?
All the time we have seen because the internet is so useful. Already this stage is overcome, we all know that it is useful and that today is part of the solution to our things in our daily lives.
Then it is worth noting that in this world things are always measurable through surveys, interviews, and tests from which the information we need is extrapolated.
On the internet we can measure each action, each click, each visit to our website, and we must highlight that we can achieve an impressive level of detail, measure how many clicks a post has, to see from which country they do it.
From the beginning, the challenge in undertaking any action or investment is to obtain maximum performance and meet the objectives set. Web analytics allows us to measure the results obtained, know which things will work well and which ones will not work, and most importantly, make the decisions that we can make to enhance success. The interesting thing about this is to be able to understand what happens before users arrive at the web, how they behave while they are in it and why the objectives that are marked on the web are not met.
In the next post I will continue explaining about this wonderful world to be more effective with our Web Analytics
