This was very well written, Ben. All the points you raised are exactly what opened my eyes when I read Stefan Molyneux's book Practical Anarchy. It's amazing how our brains have been thoroughly programmed from an early age to not see the potential world you described, and how things could be if we only tried. Fear of the unknown is our greatest hurdle to overcome as a species but I still choose it over what we have now.
