"How exactly does one 'overthrow' government?"
I've seen more and more people saying things that suggest that we must "overthrow government" because "it is too oppressive". If you are one of those people, I would like to know:
"How exactly does one 'overthrow' government?"
Even if you put a bullet between the eyes of every politician and every other employee of the State, you'd have done exactly NOTHING to eliminate "government" (and by the way, if that is what you actually advocate, then I implore you to reconsider!). Do that and people will just find a way to form a new "government" or "governments" and you will be right back where you started.
Why is this, you might ask? It is because "government" is not an individual or group of individuals, nor is it a physical object or group of physical objects or any combination thereof. "Government" is nothing more than a belief. "Government" is the belief that SOME human beings can have the moral right (or authority) to rule over OTHER human beings. To say that we must "overthrow government" sounds about as logical to me as saying we must overthrow the Easter Bunny. You can't overthrow a belief!
If you wish to rid the world of "government", what you must do is find ways to get people to overcome their belief in it. Do this, and "government" will immediately vanish like a fart in the wind.
