Cryptocurrency is the end of Government as we know it...
Here's my long term prediction about government:
The governments as we know it will disappear with a whimper when cryptocurrency software becomes so easy to use that your grandmother can use it to send you privacy coins for your birthday.
The ability to control the flow of money is at the heart of statism.
Without that control what does government have exactly?
Well... nothing actually.
If they can't pay their "armed employees" then how will they fund endless war? How can they fund the enforcement of all those regulations? How can they fund their "War on [Insert Propaganda Here]"?
Let's say some government bans Bitcoin completely and uses their fancy privacy invading technologies to track down every person and business that uses it. What happens next?
First, the price of privacy coins like Monero goes up. Second, they make an example of those people and businesses that use Bitcoin by putting them in jail. Third, people using privacy coins realize they can't be caught and the price of Monero goes up. Finally, life goes on.
That's about it really.
I mean, yes... I can talk about the massive propaganda campaign they'll wage to paint crypto users as criminals, but that only goes so far. And like I said, once the tech is easy enough for your grandmother to comfortably use, that's it. It's over.
Government is at the mercy of a decent cryptocurrency user-interface design. How fitting is that?
Fortunately, for us, central banks are beginning to see the end of their reign and know they are completely powerless to stop cryptocurrency. Oh, Jamie Dimon... I can't wait to see you interviewed about crypto in ten years. lol
I'm a bit cocky about this but I've seen the future. And its monetary system is 100% decentralized. The rest of the world may not know about Bitcoin or cryptocurrency, but they will. Just like the internet, when it finally impacts the average persons life, it'll already be too late for government to stop it.
The days of government as we know it is numbered. I'm sure they'll do what they can to retain some semblance of the glory days but it won't last long. They'll have to find a different way to enslave us.
Wait... (looking out the window)... that truck reads 'Skynet'...
Shit.
