Why we all need DNA tests.

in #ancestry7 years ago

Many of us walk around acting like we know ourselves. But do we? Nope. When I had my DNA test done, I was surprised as I defined myself a person of many nations and well as a person who isn't just homo sapien but homo neanderthalensis. I uploaded my DNA to many sites to study it more. All had different estimations. I recommended the 23 and me test.

After getting results Ancestry, 23 & Me or another company you could use GEDmatch to dig even deeper into your DNA, even millennia.

Here is one of my simple ancestry analyses From DNA.LAND

66% Euro 33%Afro and 1% Other

If you want to learn if you have Neanderthal ancestry or not and if you already have or will take a test that didn't test for it, stay tuned for more. I have many more DNA analyses that really dissects my digital genetic code. If you want to see them please follow!

Upvote! Please Do it, many people will see that we are similar in origin. As many participate in these test, some will discover their true multiracial identity. Thus, it can break ignorant social boundaries. Long live Humankind!

Agree. Did a DNA test like a month ago and got my results at New Years Eve. Was so excited to go through it all. For me personally, origin was not so interesting cause I'm like 99percent Europe East and Europe South which I found boring. But the other part, the one I read on promethease, was like mindblown. Helped me a lot to solve some everyday life problems and struggles. Would recommend to everyone!

I never heard of that one. Where did you get your DNA test results from?

Got it from AncestryDNA. When you get your results, you can go to results - settings, and download the raw data. After you download it, just upload it to the promethease and you'll get your results, if you bought a full package for a test ofc. Cost me 99€ I think.

Agreed .... I learned that I have Ojibwe mtDNA and Sephardic YDNA ancestry. Now I want to learn the Hebrew Alephbet. I did mine on FamilyTreeDNA

If you want to learn how to find out if you are part Neanderthal, which FamilyTreeDNA doesn't tell, you stay tuned.
