Alexander Margiani on the development of a wallet, team, tasks and plans for the future
Good afternoon, Sasha. We can see many updates for the android application, which please us. Tell me, please, how many people are involved in the development of application for android and are you going to slow down the pace?
The mobile application team has a huge backlog with new features, so by the end of the year we are planning not to slow down the pace - we will try to publish updates at least once a week. Six people are currently involved in the development of the android application: three backend developers, a mobile developer, a QA engineer and myself as a product manager.
Excellent! And what about the application for iOS? Our subscribers are waiting for the release of the application for this OS.
We plan to hit the deadlines announced in the current roadmap and release an iOS-application before the end of September. Now we have one iOS developer working and we are actively looking for reinforcements. If it appears in the near future, it is possible to shorten the term.
Can our subscribers help somehow in developing the application?
For us, any feedback is valuable - write feedback about the application, bug-reports, feature requests.
Are there any vacancies in the development department?
Yes, we hire developers for iOS and Android. If you want to join our team - send a letter to [email protected] with a story about yourself, your programming experience and a link to Github.
Do you have any plans for the desktop and web version of the wallet?
This year we decided to focus on mobile phone applications. In the future, we plan to analyze the feedback from users and research the market. After that, we will define the development plans for other platforms: tablets, web, desktop.
