Aye-Aye, Cute or Creepy?
Hello Hoomans! Today i want to tell you about an Unique animal called Aye-aye.
Aye-aye is a species of Lemur and they has a strange appearance, with long ears, a long tail, bulging eyes, and long middle finger. They can be found in rainforest of Madagascar. At first aye-aye is classified as a squirrel and also a kangaroo because of its similarity to both animals.
Aye-aye makes nests from leaves and twigs on trees, they are nocturnal animals, in fact they are the largest nocturnal primate in the world. They spend their lives in the forest trees and avoid getting down to the ground.
This animal has a unique way to find food. He will pat a tree trunk to find an insect, then he will make a small hole in the tree with his teeth, then insert his middle finger to pull the insect.
But, Aye aye has a bad reputation because of his appearance. The ancient legend of Malagasy considers aye-aye to be a symbol of death because of its frightful appearance and terrible voice. and because of their appearance they are often considered to bring bad luck. For this reason, the people then often kill the aye-aye they see. And that makes aye-aye an endangered animal.
