The Fish Named Sepat

Sepat is the fish that is known as consumption fish, although some species are traded asornamental fish. Sepat include to a group of freshwater fish belonging to the Trichogaster clan, members of the gouramy tribe (Osphronemidae).

Sepat has a flat body with a pointy muzzle and a small mouth. Sepats cales are small, beveled, in various sizes. Perfect side lines, tubular shape that is sometimes slightly curved. The dorsal fin (dorsal) lies far back, but ends a little way ahead of the caudal fin.

The ventral flippers are deformed; the first pair of soft fingers turned into a long-flavored whipper along the length of the body, coupled with a pair of short spikes and a few shortsighted tufts.
