The chameleon is a very different and popular species of lizard, cause of there large eyes and curled tail. Chameleons can be found throughout jungle and desert alike, in Africa, Asia and parts of Southern Europe and chameleons they have also been introduced to parts of North America

• Chameleons actual eyesight are great they can see small insects 5-10 meters beyond. They also see in both visible & ultraviolet light.

• There are over 160 different types of chameleon.

• Chameleon change color for camouflage but that Is not always there main reason. Some portray darker colors when angry, or also trying to scare others away. Males portray light multi-colored patterns when trying to get the female attention. Desert varieties move to black when its cooler to absorb heat, and a light grey to reflect heat.

• The chameleons tongue reaches its prey in not 0.07 split seconds, the projectile acceleration getting over 41 g's of force.

• Chameleons are know to feed by ballistically projecting their tongues twice the length of their own body to catch its prey, therefore forming a suction cup to hits its target.
