Japanese Macaques sittin' in a tree - #animalphotography

This is my entry into the #animalphotography contest for @photocontests.

These photos were taken at the Iwatayama Monkey Park in Arashiyama, Kyoto, Japan. There are about 170 Japanese macaque monkeys living here. It’s about a 30 minute zig-zag-ing walk uphill to get to their habitat. It’s beautiful at the top when you finally finish the ascent and there’s monkeys roaming about and panoramic views of Kyoto.

I especially loved photographing these two. Their eyes are so expressive and really pull you into the moment.

This little macaque really put me through my paces. He was roaming about the whole time and tested the speed of my camera to get these shots.
