Flying away (Serie "Birds" #1)
The best of every flight is the time to leave. The nests, suns, shores and moons, all destinations and starting points are so diffuse, so fragile, so effervescent... It will never be so essential the “here and now” as when you release everything to let go of yourself.
And let there be no mistake: this is not a late postmodern manifesto (that to be commercial this blog post lacks a good self-help advice): If the “here and now” weigh as the whole world when we lift flight, is precisely because that libertarian moment is more than the sum of everything lived to take us there.
Nothing requires so much memory (historical, muscular, spatial and existential memory) as the exercise, craft and art of flying... The best of each flight is the time to leave, the best of each leaving is the beautiful and crude learning that nothing is more like starting than the time to arrive. The truth be told: we never go... or stay.
