Unusual types of pets

in #animals7 years ago (edited)

Hello Steemit's friends!

Today I bring you this topic about pets, which in my opinion is of the utmost importance because at present 80% of people on planet earth have pets,
it is very important to choose the right pet for us. But we should not weigh only on dogs or cats, there are many more options that can be just as charming, for example, birds, rabbits, piglets, reptiles... Choose the one that suits you best.

In this post, I will show you the three animals that adapt to me.

The Owl

Buho 1.jpg
It is a bird quite well known to the population, but has always been surrounded by myths and legends. It is a nocturnal bird of prey, so it is linked to stories of witches, or omens of good or bad omens. In spite of everything, owls are birds that have a high intelligence, they are specialists in slow flying, which allows them to better locate their prey and make no noise when flying.

The Lynx

It is a medium sized wild cat of medium size, with a great look and golden brown color on the back and white at the bottom, its coat has black spots that make it a very attractive animal. The tail is much shorter for the lynx than for other felines. They are well known throughout history, and the national animal of Romania. Some find the name "Lince" very interesting, in Greek it means "bright eyes".

The Wolf

The grey wolf is one of the oldest species on earth - it has lived in this world for over 100,000 years. It used to live in most of the northern hemisphere and, apart from humans, the wolf has been the most widespread mammal in the world throughout history. In fact, wolves live in almost every part of the world except tropical rainforests and deserts. wolves have had a great influence on mythology because of their esteemed aggressiveness towards humans. While it has been praised on some occasions, on others it has been severely criticised. According to Greek mythology, Licaon is turned into a wolf after trying to feed the god Zeus with the flesh of his own son. In Roman mythology, Romulus and Remus were breastfed by the wolf Luperca when King Amulio chased them to kill them.

In Nordic mythology, the wolf Fenrir is the son of Loki and Angrboda and plays an important role in Ragnarök by scraping the earth and sky with his muzzle. On the other hand, Sköll chases the goddess Solos every day while Hati chases the god Máni every night. There is also a wolf named Amarok in Inuit mythology and the image of the werewolf is known.

Well guys these were my three favorite animals that I would like to have as pets, but it is not possible because these animals are in danger of extinction or are banned in large parts of the world.

I hope you liked this post and remember to give me your opinion.
