The North Ronaldsays

The North Ronaldsays are a rare breed of ancient short tailed Nordic sheep from the Orkney Isles in Scotland.

The sheep are fine boned and relatively small , the ewes for example reaching about 25kg. The ewes have a strong maternal instinct and the breed have a luxurious fleece.

I had been invited to connect with a small flock of North Ronaldsays and here below

 is some footage of that first encounter called "New Life".

None of the sheep in the video  below are bred for meat, they live in verdant pastures kept for the joy of conservation.
