PLOT

The movie focuses on the life and struggles of a single mom with unique children. After her husbands untimely passing she is dealt with the problem of raising wolf children. Being oblivious of raising her wolf children on her own and protecting them from being discovered, she decides to move to a remote area in the mountains to give her children more freedom in the embrace of nature.

PROS

It's a unique story that's very inspiring especially for single mothers. The fantasy aspect gives more depth in terms of story telling. The fact that the protagonist struggles with such bizarre circumstances draws you close due to the curiosity of how they will adapt to the situation.

Aside from the story itself, the amazing visuals and animation is heart warming and soothing to the eyes. You'll surely get whisked away into a beautiful bright world and learn things that will open your eyes to the importance of dealing with trivial everyday struggles and what it's like to be a mother going through life on her own.

CONS

There is nothing much I can say that is wrong about this movie. Every aspect is beautifully done to the point of embracing you with such alluring qualities that makes every second of it worth while.

Though the story is a bit depressing in the first few scenes, the progression helps in pulling it up from the depths of sadness. Towards the end of the movie we are thrust into a conclusion that will have you asking questions further into the plot of the story. The only thing that's bothering me about this movie is the abrupt judgements made by the end. It somehow, in a way, lost the realistic value it ensued throughout the movie.

CONCLUSION

The movie does deal with a lot of depressing topics that will cause countless of tears to be shed. If you're avoiding such heart wrenching plots then this movie is to be avoided. Though you may be missing out on your chance on knowing such an amazing story.

Overall, Wolf Children Ame and Yuki is a timely story in this day and age. It gives you in depth knowledge on how a lone mother would deal with raising her children on her own.
