Death Note (2017) on Netflix
Death Note is a 2017 American dark fantasy horror thriller film based on the Japanese manga of the same name created by Tsugumi Ohba and by Takeshi Obata.
The american version of Death Note features Light Turner,a bright student that stumbles across a notebook that fell from the sky.
The mysterious notebook has the power to kill any person whose name he writes in it.
A death god named Ryuk, eternally bound to its pages, has chosen Light to be the newest player in the Death Note's game, encourages him to kill anyone who've wronged him.
After being further encouraged further by his girlfriend, Light decides to launch a secret crusade to rid the streets of criminals. However, Light finds himself being pursued by a famous detective only known by the alias L.
The film was release on August 25 and received generally negative reviews.
However, some praised the film for its cast, particularly Dafoe's performance, as well as for its director, style, visuals, and atmosphere.
Personally I would still prefer the original version with Japanese actors. What's your opinion? Leave a comment down below!

I loved the anime and the live action jap version, but because of the reviews for this version I didn’t watch it.. do you think it’s worth watching? The visuals look interesting
