Anime Review | Sword Art Online Series | Should I Watch It?
Sword Art Online, anime fans are certainly no stranger to this anime title and almost all anime fans have heard it, regardless of whether they watch it or not. or they enjoy it or not. It popularity is not unstoppable, especially because the portrait of characters and stories mentioned, quite qualified in the midst of so many competitor products that try to offer the same sensation. With such popularity, it is not surprising that Sword Art Online strives to be an active anime series.
It may be too late to discuss and make a review of the anime Sword Art Online because I think, this anime does not need to be made a review because all the anime fans must have been watching it. But I did it anyway 😅. Yes, who knows maybe this could be the information for anime fans in the future, when they want to find anime reference, and sword art online is the most popular anime in 2012.

Sword Art Online is an anime adapted from light novel made by Kawahara Reki and illustrated by Abec which started in 2002 and has been adapted into anime, manga and video game. The anime series of Sword Art Online has entered the third season and reportedly the third season for SAO will release on April 8, 2018.
SINOPSIS
Sword Art Online tells the story in 2022 there is a virtual-based online game that was released under the title Sword Art Online. With the help of Nerve Gear, a console for virtual gaming, every player can feel himself in the game. Nut things change when the Game Master Kayaba Akihiko locks the entire player system so that no one can get out of the game. The new player can be saved if there is someone who successfully completed the entire mission or quest.

The first season consists of 25 episodes divided into 2 arcs, namely Aincrad (Sword Art Online) and Fairy Dance (Alfheim Online).
Arc Aincrad (Sword Art Online)
Fairy Dance (Alfheim Online).
In this arc the theme of the story remains "Trapped" but the trapped is just some of the players Sword Art Online, Kirito and other online Alfheim player can logout like the game we play, so the hallmark of online games is still found here. In this arc is different from the sword art online because the story in this arc is not made jumping, so we are made comfortable with the story. The main focus on this arc is kirito's adventure in saving Asuna who is trapped in the game by the new Antagonist.
My Mine
In terms of stories, online sword art has an interesting storyline with a mixture of elements, ranging from elements of romance, action, and the power of hearts and bonds of the characters, thus making it rich in stories as well and weighty. The element of romance in the anime is also able to become a sweetener and one of the elements of a very interesting story to follow.
The element of humanity is also highlighted in this anime, especially in Aincrad arc, because in Aincrad arc, players who enter the game can't logout unless they finish the game, and players who died in the game, exactly died in the real world. How the survivors live in the game of death, the despair of those who lost friends, and how one can retain its "humanity" in the midst of a real and virtual world. Arc aincrad in terms of the story is very rich in such elements. and the story feels more quality and weight.
While in the arc Fairy Dance at Alfheim Online, the story feels more "lightweight" because in Alfheim Online the player will not die even if his character dies in the game, and makes the story along Fairy Dance (Alfheim Online) more inclined to the element of romance between Kirito-Asuna-Suguha and more to explain how they live in the real world, as well as provide more fun and colorful elements of a game and have more humor and fan service elements than SAO that tends to be somewhat dark and heavy.
In terms of stories, maybe Fairy Dance arc slightly decreased in weight compared to its first arc, and has an additional plot hole that is not explained, especially regarding the rules in online alfheim games. but overall it can be a sweet complement to his first arc.

Sword art online II, is the second season of the Sword Art Online series. Many new characters and problems that arise in this season 2. Season 2 is produced by A1-Pictures with 24 episodes in which there are 3 arcs, arc Gun gale online (GGO), Excalibur arc and Mother's Rosario arc.
Sword Art online II is every arc has a different main role, so unlike in season 1 that only show Kirito and Asuna only.
Arc Gun Gale Online (GGO)
** CHARACTERS **

- KIRITO, Former Sword Art player online, in this arc Kirito get a mission to investigate the case of the death of someone who is in the virtual world
- SINON, The new character,
one of the pro GGO players who have sniper skills with an unusual distance made by other snipers - DEATH GUN, An antagonist in the arc Gun gale online, he is reliable in playing the gun and the perpetrator of a person died in this Gun Gale Online game.
** STORY **
Tells about an incident that happened in the game gun gale online. killing several pro players in the real world by being shot in the gaming world by a player who named himself Death Gun. This is very difficult and does not make sense to the police, it is unlikely the real gun is in the virtual world. To investigate further then Seijirou ask for help to Kirito to investigate the case by returning to the virtual reality game world. Kirito initially refused, but due to some reason Kirito finally agreed.
Arc Excalibur
CHARACTERS
Excalibur Arc has players who can be considered a group, in this arc all SAO players who previously only 1-2 episodes are now played in full. Is there 7 character in this Arc :

- ASUNA, a woman who does not really like her life in the real world. But after meeting with Kirito in SAO, he realizes that the real world is not as bad as thought

STORY
Excalibur Arc is only shown in a few episodes just nothing special in this arc. In this arc we only see Kirito and his comrades fighting with monsters and bos monster. The problem that arose in this arc is not Kirito and Asuna but Klein who is in love with someone. we are also made happy with a lighter story. and the entire cast is also displayed in this arc.
Arc Mother's Rosario
CHARACTERS
There are 2 main roles featured in this arc,
- ASUNA, One of pro player in Alfheim Online and Asuna has a sword speed skill
- YUUKI, The new player in Alfheim Online, Yuuki is an active person and he also has a sword speed skill more than Asuna.
STORY
Tells about a new player in Alfheim online, yuuki. He became an online Alfheim player conversation because he was very strong, he also challenged all players to duel 1 vs 1 with him. He became more famous when he won from kirito. This is what makes Asuna curious.
Asuna also participate challenge Yuuki duel. Initially Asuna can keep up with Yuuki, but eventually he lost too. After that, yuuki asks Asuna to be his friend, this is the reason yuuki challenges all Alfheim players online, to find the strongest player in order to help her and his friend realize their dreams.
regardless of that, yuuki turns out to have a very sad story in his life. She suffered an incurable disease.
My Mine
On the arc gun gale online, maybe a little off the mark from his great title "Sword", some fans may be disappointed with this. But I think this is an interesting thing, because the SAO series basically tells about games in the future. and FPS is one of the game categories that are highly respected by game players. so, that is a plus for me. But kirito still use a sword-like weapon in it. this is really strange to me. Although there is such a kind of weapon in the FPS Game, it will be used as a secondary weapon, in contrast to kirito, he uses it as the main weapon. this is really weird.
While watching the first episode, I immediately thought if the story line in this season is not much different from the first season but with online games categorized FPS. However, the GGO storyline is only up to episode 16 (if ga wrong).
even the turn of the arc this season really made me uncomfortable. because the arc one with the arc is completely unrelated. Shit !!!!
I do not know to be happy, sad or disappointed when watching it, which surely I follow the plot of the story to the end hahahaha.
Season II shows two sides of the protagonist completing each incident involving them, Kirito completing the incident in Gun gale online while Asuna solves his personal problem and the player is in Alfheim Online. This season also shows the story about life of asuna in the real world, I think this is a good point for Asuna fans, we so know how life of asuna, though it only briefly.

Should I watch It?
Sword Art Online is one of the best anime I've ever seen. An exciting anime with the VMMORPG (Virtual Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games) background concept. Although this is not a fairly new genre (previously available / Hack series) but SAO became anime that popularized this concept.
If you have not watched it or have seen it but only a few episodes or just watching its first season. You should watch all the serials, because :

The world of SAO really depicts a utopian fantasy world. There are beautiful natural scenery, green pastures, classic design towns, cool wild animals, castles, labyrinth caves, festivals, and a fairy-filled world. A utopian world that everyone wants to live in. - VMMORPG Concept
