Yeah, anime often feels kind of uninspired and cheap nowadays. 80s-90s really was a great time for anime. And yeah, NGE got me from the first episode with the first angel appearing and Misato <3, def one of my favorite chars as well. Quirky and caring until the last moment ;.;
