How to keep your computer clean of anything that can steal your private key or privacy-Malwarebytes

Since I've been using a computer with Internet (about age 9)
I've heard of this thing called virus, spyware, and Trojans
I went through so many anti-virus and anti-spyware programs.
In the digital world, it is very important to know that you are using the right software so that you will not be exposed to theft.
Malwarebytes software is a software that gives you peace of mind that you are in good hands
When I scan computers that have not been scanned for over a year, the software finds and deletes over 1000 spyware and Trojans, there are daily updates, today I will see how it is used, what functions are used and when you can store your computer on digital coins
(Everything is an opinion and not a recommendation!).

This shows the Home screen in the easy and convenient interface of malwarebytes version 3.3.1
You can watch your :

  1. Reports
  2. Quarantine objects
  3. Protection history
You can see that since I have this software over 800 threats have been removed from my computer!
One of them was particularly deadly, one that tries to steal data from my computer.

Most of them were advertising companies that tried to extract information to give me more accurate advertising

There are 4 functions of real-time protection

Sometimes web protection is a little restrictive, it can be removed for a few minutes.
I have to say that this saved me from a phishing site this week that is very similar to a site that provides monero wallet services.

You can see exactly the site information that the software is blocking.
You can generally see any software or IP or anything the software does, the software is very transparent (although not open source) and recommended by experts in the field.

The software costs about $ 60 a year and is worth every penny.

User main functions:

  1. Scan schedule (three types of scan)

  2. Show notifications (you can edit on\off, real time\Scheduled report)

  3. Select language (24 languages)

  4. Use proxy servers for private surfing.(They do not provide it but you can connect through their client to one)

  5. User access properties

  6. Update beta application (like Steemit 😂😉).

  7. Application Update automatically

For more details.

Do I need Antivirus and Antimalware? or just one of them is enough?!

Have any useful programs?! Share!

Great post @amiramnoam. Paid antimalware programs are best to secure our data and have extra features.

Well done friend...I too use Malware. Always freaks me out when I have to shut it down to download programs like Exodus wallet.

Yes, I am using Quick Heal antivirus which has inbuilt Amit Malware option. And also browser sandbox option which is quite secure as well.
Indeed a good informational post on security.

I use my PC online since years and NEVER had any issues, although I must say, I am also going to some "dark" sites (you know what I mean... free software, and other).

My recipe is simple:

  • never CLICK A LINK I am not so sure of,
  • never INSTALL anything I did not intended to
  • never INSTALL anything "additional"
  • always look in the address bar to see if the site I'm on it its really the one I intended to be (ie gNail instead of gMail
  • use ADD BLOCKER that keeps the popups out of my way
  • never give CREDIT CARD to sites not being https (secure) and having valid certificate; use PayPal instead
  • do a WHO IS on ecomm sites (this helped me few days ago to be safe - there was a site from Germany, posing very legit, with good prices on electronics, but: registered in Panama, only a 2 weeks old, registrant name undisclosed, and they posted a TUV certificate of quality, but the TUV agency stated on their site that this e-comm site is not registered with them at all)

All common sense I might add.

I do have a simple antivirus, nothing too complicated because I believe slows down the computer if it interfere too much.

Stay safe!

interesting and easy.thanks for sharing

Always glad to help my fellows steemians :)

@amiramnoam, you sure "killed" this post.

I am always afraid using any kind of anti-malware software as I have heard earlier that they themselves act as malware pop-ups and leads to system shutdown. Recently, my system was badly infected with virus and my antivirus software was not able to recover it. Then my friend introduced me to malwarebytes software and after installation, i ran a full-scan and since then my system is performing nicely. Malwarebytes is awesome. Thanks for this post.

Thanks for spreading this informative info

It is one of the best anti-malware programs and is considered safe to use. (It is a wise precaution to set a Restore Point before cleaning with any program.)

Better safe than sorry!!;)

I am a complete noob when it comes to computers !! 😛 I just know how to put posts on steemit from my laptop. That’s all!

My brother sets the antivirus thing on my laptop! But I remember he never purchased it !! Lol

Everyday the world of cyber security becomes a more difficult and complex environment to tread on. With every single efforts the expert makes to improve cyber security, criminals are always there to bring in new methods of harming unsuspecting people. Cyber security awareness therefore becomes quite important in today's world. Am glad you shared this, I'll try to utilize the info here to see how much I can protect myself. Thank you.

Anti-Malware (MBAM) is one of a number of anti-virus software applications readily available to you, some of which are free downloads. While the majority of anti-virus software is legitimately helpful and effective, some rogue anti-virus software out there can be just as devastating as the viruses they claim to counteract.
Anti-Malware include support for Windows 2000, XP and Vista operating systems, windows, fast scanning, full scans for all of your drives and updates to your database that are released at least once every two days. It also provides a quarantine feature to hold threats and then resolve them when it is convenient for you.
So, to be clear, Malwarebytes is a legal and legitimate anti-malware software application.

I for once have never Heard of Malwarebytes I too am a Computer Nerd and the Only Protection I use for my PC is Quick Heal Total Security.

I have been using it for at least 5 Years straight and it has never let me Down.

I will check this Malwarebytes too.

Does it have a Trial Version which could be Tried?
